Road safety champion GEM Motoring Assist (GEM) has launched a free of charge service that is the most comprehensive in its 75year history of support and commitment to all road users. It is specifically designed to avoid the need for any additional legal expenses insurance – reducing the cost of driving but enhancing the motoring experience.
Whether or not an accident on the road is your fault or not GEM, with its partners Winn Solicitors, will step in to remove the stress from one of the most worrying and disturbing experiences any driver has to cope with on today’s increasingly busy roads and the service comes completely free of charge for the 60,000 members of GEM.
“It is the fact that our team will take the strain of managing the whole claim process on a member’s behalf whether they are at fault or not,” said GEM Chief Executive David Williams as he announced the launch of this dramatically different product. “Our service eradicates the need for adding legal expenses insurance to a policy. This can often cost around £25, which is more than the basic fee for joining GEM Motoring Assist.” He said that from now on those with GEM membership can avoid the inconvenience that adds to the stress and upset in being involved in an incident. Usually there are forms to fill in, claims to pursue, insurers to notify, estimates and repairs to arrange and replacement cars to organise,” he said. “But thanks to GEM’s new partnership with Winn Assist, a service of Winn Solicitors, all a GEM member has to do is make one phone call and life will return to normal almost immediately.”
Specialist advisors will guide the member through the claims process and liaise with all the parties involved; they will deal with all aspects of the administration of the claim and recover all uninsured losses to which the member is entitled; working with GEM, Winn Solicitors will liaise with both insurers; arrange for a replacement vehicle when one is due, arrange for the member’s vehicle to be inspected and repaired and appoint solicitors to work for personal injury cost recovery.
